Feeding Directions
- Rumevite Ezy Feed 30 Pellets is suitable for feeding to sheep, cattle and goats grazing mature dry pasture or in conjunction with hay.
- Before starting to feed Rumevite Ezy Feed 30 Pellets ensure that the appropriate animal husbandry procedures are completed – consult a veterinarian for advice. Livestock of similar size and age should be drafted into groups.
- Feed Rumevite Ezy Feed 30 Pellets at a rate of up to 0.25 kg per 50 kg liveweight per head per day. Feeding rate will depend on forage quantity and quality.
- Rumevite Ezy Feed 30 Pellets can either be fed in self-feeders or troughs.
- When feeding Rumevite Ezy Feed 30 Pellets in a self-feeder or trough, ensure that dry pasture, or hay is readily available and that livestock are able to eat this forage to appetite at all times.
- If high volumes of dry pasture are available, encourage stock to graze out in the paddock by placing supplement further out, away from water sources. Only do this once stock have taken to the supplement. If pastures become grazed out provide hay in racks.
- When using self-feeders, adjust slide settings to regulate feed intake and achieve recommended feeding rates. The feeder slide should be set so that stock have to lick the feed out from under the slide.
- If feeding in troughs, place enough Rumevite Ezy Feed 30 Pellets in the trough for 3 days feeding (up to 0.75 kg per 50 kg of liveweight per head). On the fourth day refill the trough again with enough feed for three days. Continue this feeding method whilst using this feed.
- Rumevite Ezy Feed 30 Pellets is designed to be less palatable than standard grain based pellets and mixes. When starting on this feed use hay or chaff to entice cattle to begin consumption.
